WHAT WILL MY BREAST REDUCTION SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION PROCEDURE ENTAIL?
To obtain your desired results, Dr. Manwani will assess your body type and prescribe a surgical approach.

ANESTHESIA
Your breast reduction may be carried done in a hospital environment, a surgical suite, or an outpatient surgical centre. Your stay in the hospital should be brief if you are admitted. The actual surgery often lasts three to four hours, though it occasionally goes longer. A general anaesthetic is used for breast reduction, so you’ll be unconscious throughout the procedure.

TECHNIQUE
The precise technique chosen to reduce the size of your breasts will depend on your personal preferences, cosmetic objectives, and other considerations. The anchor-shaped technique, which rounds around the areolas, extends lower on the breast, and follows along the organic contours of the breast crease (where the breast meets the chest wall), is the one most frequently used to make incisions. Dr. Manwani uses this technique to get rid of breast tissue, extra fat, and loose skin. The skin is then drawn in from both sides of the breast down and around the newly formed areolas after the nipples and areolas have been transferred to their new location. He can reshape the breasts’ new form with this procedure. Additional extra fat can be removed with liposuction.

RECOVERY AND RESULTS
Following breast reduction surgery, patients should plan on taking it easy for around 48 hours. Swelling, pain, bruising, numbness, and stiffness are typical side effects that might continue for two to three weeks. While still in development, results will be apparent right away. After two to three months of recovery, the final results usually become apparent, while minute alterations in size can last up to a year. It will take between 12 and 18 months for the incisional scars to totally develop. Even though scarring is unavoidable, the incision lines can be hidden by a swimsuit or bra.
You can use ice or an ice pack on your breasts for 10 to 20 minutes at a time to recover at home. For the following three days following surgery, or until edoema has greatly decreased, it is advised to apply ice every 1-2 hours. Do not forget to cover the ice or ice pack with cloth.
Use warm, soapy water to wash the area every day, then pat it dry. NEVER clean with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. The healing process will be slowed down by the use of alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
If any of the following happens following breast reduction surgery, get in touch with our office or Dr. Manwani.
Infection symptoms include redness, unusual swelling in the vicinity, discomfort, and fever. unusual pus or discharge coming from the wounds or afflicted area. Before you are scheduled to have it removed, wounds bleed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
For at least 4 weeks following your procedure, we advise wearing a sports bra because underwire and push-up bras might affect the results and impede the healing of the incisions. To get the results you want, wait until you are fully healed and recovered before wearing underwire or push-up bras.
After surgery, refrain from swimming or taking baths for at least three weeks. Patients are able to take a bath or go swimming once their surgical bandages have been taken off. Till your incisions are totally healed, refrain from fully submerging your breasts in water.
The effects are going to endure a very long time! Only when the patient’s breasts have finished developing are breast reductions carried out. While your results may persist for some time, the magnitude of your results may change as a result of any weight gain or subsequent pregnancy. During your initial appointment and evaluation, we will talk with you about whether this is likely feasible for you.
Breastfeeding may not be a possibility for all people after breast reduction surgery, depending on the surgical technique, as the majority of the milk ducts leading to the nipples are eliminated. Breast reduction surgery is not advised for anyone who intends to breastfeed in the future since it can make breastfeeding more challenging later in life.
The alternatives that are best for you will be discussed with you during your in-person consultation so that we can evaluate your physique. Since each patient’s outcomes and medical background differ, not all solutions are available to every single patient. At Cosmetic Surgery Mumbai, we place more emphasis on selecting a method and technique that are appropriate for your body and will produce the greatest outcomes for you than on giving scarring less of a priority.
Yes, you are if you’re a healthy female who doesn’t smoke who is experiencing the unpleasant symptoms of macromastia. Breast reduction surgery is a wonderful option for people who want to end problems with persistent back, neck, and shoulder pain, itchy skin around the breasts, and trouble dressing due to their breasts. After a face-to-face assessment, we can more accurately decide if you are a strong candidate.
